Music
My side hustle that turned into a passion, a job and an "escape".
Quite different from animation, I have always had great interest in music. But
unfortunately I also wasn't supported by my parents.
So guess what? After graduated high school, I got a job teaching English and with my
first paycheck, I bought myself a guitar, a pair of Dr.Martens boot and a hot meal.
That was 2017 and the guitar costed like about 30 Euro. I was only able to play some 4
chords songs for years.
During the Corona time, musical instruments sale spiked through the roof. I was no
exception.
I bought my first electric guitar then, a white Jackson Dinky Mini. But I was so busy
with work and college at the time, so I didn't have much time practicing, playing.
Then I moved to Nürnberg and everything pretty much changed. I bought my second guitar,
a Sterling Cutlass-a properly expensive guitar for me. Slowly, a microphone followed,
then an amplifier, then keyboard, then drumsticks...
You can figure out the rest.
For the last few years, I have been active in the music community in Nürnberg, learning
different instruments and workflow, production of sound design, mixing/mastering.
Here some of the shows, some cover I did,
just for fun and to satisfy the kid in me.
I would never call myself a "musician".
I have never gone to music school or had any training.
I just know I want to do it and do it well.
I ussually do easy-listening cover. Those songs get clicks. My favorite singer of all time and childhood idol is Chester Bennington, so I would actually love to be able to sing like him someday.
One of my favorite artist is Chris Cornell.
To me, he was a seriously underrated singer and songwriter. Also we rarely see artists with
such impressive collaborative and solo works as him.
This Solo from Prince is the reason I picked up the guitar...
... and drum? I have learned drum for 2 years now, because the band couldn't find a drummer. So I said: "F*ck it, I'll do it" and I don't regret it one beat *bad-dum tsss*. Drum is absolutely my favorite instrument. Recently, it even became what I play most of the time.
My main role in the band has actually always been the singer. But again, why do you have to define yourself as a certain type of musician?
For the last 6 months or so, I have been preparing to make my own music, some solo works and some
with my bands. Unfortunately, I have been so busy putting up this website together so rewriting,
recording and production will have to wait.
Meanwhile, enjoy some terrible demos from me, some are recorded with my Ipad with Garage Band, some
with just my phone.
